Biography:
Biljana Shirgoska was born 1963 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. 1988 she finished medical faculty in Skopje, 1996 became specialist at cathedra for Anesthesiology, reanimation, intensive care and pain management, medical faculty, St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.
In1999 she defended her master thesis, and 6 years later, in 2005 she published her doctoral study: The effect of general anesthetics on vasodilatation (the level of constitutive NO synthetize and cGmp) at adult patients scheduled for middle ear surgery, at Research center for genetic engineering and biotechnology, Georgi.D.Efremov, Macedonian academy of sciences and arts, Skopje.
She is an author of 5and coauthor of 3 books, published by medical faculty in Skopje, as well as an author of 200 manuscripts, published in respected journals.
Biljana Shirgoska is a member of Macedonian Society of Anesthesiology since 1989, a member of European Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care since 1996, a member of European Airway Management Society, since 2006.
She is working at University ear, nose and throat surgery clinic (ENT clinic), in Skopje since 1991. In 2007 she became a head of the department for anesthesia at ENT clinic and since 2017 she works part time at University clinic for ophthalmology, in Skopje. Her fields of interest are: hypotensive technique of general anesthesia, airway treatment, emergency medicine and pediatric anesthesia.
