Biography
Born in Dubrovnik with completed medical and doctoral studies at the University of
Zagreb. Employed at the Dubrava Clinical Hospital, Zagreb, currently head of the Institute for
one-day surgery. The narrower field of her scientific and professional work is airway management, especially in the area of children’s malformations and maxillofacial patients. She trained in Great Britain, Charing Cross Hospital, London, Royal Infirmary, Glasgow and HCI-International Medical Centre, Clydebank and in Austria, AKH Vienna.
She is a mentor to anesthesiology residents for anesthesia in maxillofacial surgery, residents of Emergency Medicine, residents of the intensive care medicine, secondary doctors and trainees.
She participates in the teaching of the postgraduate specialist study in Maxillofacial surgery, courses: Diagnostic algorithms, general surgical and pharmacotherapeutic principles in maxillofacial surgery and inflammation of the maxillofacial region, and postgraduate specialist study in Plastic Surgery, course: Surgery of the Hand of Medical
faculty of the University of Zagreb, in the teaching of graduate studies, an elective subject Oncological surgery of the head and neck – a multidisciplinary approach of the Faculty of Medicine University of Zagreb, undergraduate study of nursing, University of Dubrovnik, course Anesthesiology, reanimation, intensive care medicine, and graduate studies of nursing at the University of Dubrovnik, courses Anesthesiology and Analgesia, is a lecturer at CEEA.
She participated in numerous domestic and international scientific and professional conferences
gatherings, actively participated in scientific research projects, and now actively participates in international multicenter clinical research.
She is a reviewer in professional journals.
She is a member of domestic and European professional societies in anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care medicine and the Croatian Society for One Day Surgery.
