Biography:
She was graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1980. She became Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialist in 1985 , Assoc. Prof in 1991 and Professor in 1999.
She has been working at Hacettepe University, Ankara since 1980 and Head of the anesthesiology and reanimation department since 2016.
Her field of interest is Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery anesthesia. She is also interested in geriatric anesthesia.
She has over 100 published articles and over 1000 citations. She is on the editorial board of many journals.
She is the author of 2 international and 6 national book chapters and took part in translation of 3 books.
She took part in the organization and scientific committees of many National and International congresses and scientific meetings such as Balkan States Anesthesia Days Congresses (2014-2018) and Turkish Republics Anesthesia Congress (2013), Azerbaycan – Germany – Turkish Medicine Congress (2018-2019).
She has served as an invited speaker and session chair in international and national congresses.
She is a member of ESAIC, EACTA. ERC and EAMS. She is the representative of Turkey in ESAIC National Anaesthesiologists Societies Committee.
She was the vice President of the Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation between 2018-2021 and the President of the Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation between 2021-2023.
She is currently the founding President of the Balkan Anesthesia Platform.
