Biography:
Dragan Milošević, born in 1966 in Sarajevo, is an accomplished medical professional. Since moving to Banja Luka in 1972, he has excelled in both his academic and professional pursuits. Graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Banja Luka in 1992 with an average grade of 8.53, he embarked on a fulfilling career in medicine.
In 1994, he joined the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Clinical Center of Banja Luka as a secondary physician, rising to the position of resident in 1995. He successfully passed the specialist exam in 1999 with outstanding results. He enrolled in postgraduate studies in 1997 and served as an assistant at the Department of Pathophysiology during the academic years 98/99 and 99/00, and later at the Department of Surgery during 05/06 and 06/07, and from 2012 to the present day.
In December 2012, he defended his master’s thesis at the Faculty of Medicine in Banja Luka, showcasing his research on “The Advantages of Superficial Cervical Plexus Block over General Anesthesia in Carotid Endarterectomy.” He was bestowed with the title of “Primarius” in 2017. He defended his doctoral dissertation in 2022, revealing findings on “The Influence of Hemodynamic Factors on Cerebral Oximetry Values in Carotid Endarterectomy.”
Currently, Dr. Milošević serves as a specialist anesthesiologist at the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Clinical Center of Banja Luka. He is also the President of the Association of Anesthesiologists, Resuscitators, and Intensivists of Republika Srpska since 2021. He is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences and has authored or co-authored numerous scientific and professional papers in the field of anesthesiology and intensive care. Fluent in English, Dr. Milošević is a devoted husband and proud father of two children. His commitment to excellence in medicine continues to inspire and shape the field of anesthesiology in Republika Srpska and beyond.
